I have a 4 yr old girl who has the most horrific tantrums rages screams looks as if she is in a trance help me

Yeah - not to be rude or anything, but take her to a doctor or psychiatrist. My younger brother was an abnormally agressive toddler, but he wasn't quite as angry as your little girl sounds.
Hope everything turns out okay :-]
Look at her enviroment. The chemicals, either she is breathing, injesting or soaking through her skin.
Research that, there was a boy on Dr. Phil with the same symptoms, and it was determined it was a chemical reaction.
Anything could be the culprit, but find it and get rid of it.
Make sure there are no toys, railings, furniture that has lead based paint. Cleaning supplies, even washing stuff, could be triggering this.
Look all over the home, the food sources, the automobile.
New carpets, food allergies, medicine allergies, smell good stuff, (sprays, electric outlets, candles).
Everything your daughter comes in contact with should be considered a culprit, until you know other wise.
Hand soap, shampoo, dust, floor cleaners, paint on walls, and a host of other things.
She may be breathing toxin air, find out what plants, factories you are near.
Have a diary of what you do just before and in the day and hours preceding these fits. Where you go, what she eats. Hot dogs could be a culprit.
It may be as simple as Pine -sol. Or it may be as complicated as the plastics in your carpet. Or the factory across town.
How about your home getting sprayed for insects?
Look at every thing…………. If it involves a chemical no matter how innocent, see if that can be a trigger. Lettuce from the store on up to everything else.
Ohhhhhh! I would go nuts!! You should scream just like she does when she acts up like that next time(if your at home) scream and throw a fit then stop in the middle and tell her "do you see how ridiculous you're acting? Big girls don't act like that! If you want to be treated like a big girl and get nice things or go places with mommy you need to act right. I'm done with you acting like this. when you're ready to act right and apologize to me I'll be in the kitchen." then leave her alone and don't give in to her!!!! She needs to learn her lesson! She soo young and the sooner you nip this in the bud the better off you will be. if she opens the door just leave it open cause that's how she keeps you coming back and giving her attention just ignore her when she's acting like that. don't give her any attention till she calms down then after she does talk with her… get down to her eye level and ask her whats up. if that doesn't work try watching that t.v. show Nanny 911!! They deal with some BAD kids and they offer a lot of helpful tips and tricks…better yet maybe you should call or write to them so they can help you! you poor thing! Kids are so ruthless sometimes! I feel for you!! put her to bed and drink a glass of wine and take a hot bath and try to relax.
my son who is 3 is the same, I got so fed up with his tantrums so I took him to see his GP who said he was whats called a spirited toddler/child, it can be medicated but I am against medicating my child so I follow a special day to day routine and distraction plan to help with his tantrums, now he is a happy 3yr old who still has some tantrums but not as bad as he did
here are some links on spirited children for you hope they help
